  • The ARNP/PA-C demonstrates an advanced level of medical judgment/knowledge, sound clinical judgement/competence and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as it relates to both interpersonal and professional relationships to ensure optimum patient care outcomes in a complex care environment.
  • Collaborates and consults with interdisciplinary health team to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment as well as continuity of patient care, and communicates changes in patient’s health status or urgent patient issues in a timely manner


  • Provides evaluation and medical management to acute and complex chronically ill Oncology patients at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team
  • Rapid Response Team Leader during clinical work hours
  • Demonstrates outstanding communication with patient, family and staff to promote continuity of care across the outpatient and inpatient (if necessary) continuum of care
  • Management of transfusion & chemotherapy reactions
  • Management of Sepsis and Infection
  • Facilitating admission of patients to the UWMC
  • Primary point of contact facility wide for patient status changes, orders and urgent situations requiring immediate or resuscitative interventions.
  • Actively participates in various committees (APP faculty meetings and unit meetings, Grand Rounds, Conferences).
  • Actively participates in mentoring, education and instruction of medical and nursing staff
  • ACLS certified
  • Provide coverage 7 days per week from 7-5:30 on a rotating basis
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum 1 year of ARNP or PA-C experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Medical Oncology required.  
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must! Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required.
  • Washington state & DEA licensure required.
  • ACLS required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required. 
  • EMR experience required; prefer experience with Cerner
