Responsibilities may include:

  • Answer incoming phone calls in a warm and courteous manner and route as appropriate
  • Relay patients information to prepare for their initial appointment
  • Route medical records and compile chart so medical providers have the latest information to inform their initial consult with patients
  • Enter patient demographic information into databases
  • Request and receive diagnostic films and pathology slides


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic computer literacy (e-mail, MS Word, data entry)
  • Ability to communicate verbally on the phone and in writing in a compassionate and concise manner
  • Previous experience in a customer service capacity
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate well with diverse colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with EPIC or other scheduling software
  • Knowledge of medical and/or oncology terminology
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
