Overview

The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.

  • Provide business and advanced analytics capabilities to Supply Chain, Pharmacy, and other departments
  • Responsible for the execution of regularly scheduled data exports and primary user of data to respond to structured and non-structured data requests for analysis
  • Works individually or as part of a team to perform analyses and develp reports that inform planning, evaluation, and process improvement priorities
  • Maintains a solid working knowledge of a wide range of internal systems, workflows and related data sources, including those for registration, financial clearance, encounters, clinical trials, charge capture/doding, claims and denials

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, refine, and/or implement SCCA supply chain, Pharmacy, and other department initiatives and actionable reporting/metrics to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness
  • Gather, develop, integrate, review, validate, analyze, report using supply chain data and drive data driven improvements/decisions
  • Monitor top Supplier processes and performance KPIs; identify patterns, trends, and challenges; work with key stakeholders to determine and address root cause issues and ensure sustainable, long-term solutions
  • Complete analysis and provide input and recommendations to support the budgeting/goal setting process.
  • Utilizing Supply Chain tools and processes to make data-driven decisions to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
  • Work effectively with Supply Chain team members including contracts, purchasing, logistics and inventory control
  • Knowledge management of systems, fields and data element
  • Works with partner institutions and other departments to develop data tables
  • Develops reports for regular and ad-hoc reporting
  • Applies analytical tools to produce reports and analyses that help customers to understand department activities
  • Works with leadership to design and develop the charts, graphs, and dashboards that allow information to be shared in an understandable and actionable manner
  • Provides data to assist in quantifying the impact of initiatives on departmental productivity, the prevention of payment denials, and the capture of revenue
  • Support initiatives to improve workflows with data analysis

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or finance or equivalent education/experience required

  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills; MS Excel proficient; financial modeling preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all clinical departments.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data

Preferred:

  • MS PowerPoint and MS Word proficient

SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.
