The Blood and Marrow Transplant/Cellular Immunotherapy Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) contributes to the advancement of evidence-based nursing practice and continuous improvement of comprehensive quality patient care. The APN advances oncology nursing practice as an expert clinician, interdisciplinary consultant, educator, researcher, and nursing leader. The APN achieves this through involvement in clinical support, education, research, organizational support, quality initiatives and professional growth. The APRN is accountable to be responsive to the dynamic needs of the organization, staff and patients within the changing health care environment.
