The Program Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) will have prior training in Human Resources, particularly in building and supporting diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven project management track record and the ability to build and drive the programs that support and sustain the organization’s workforce diversity, inclusivity, education, and retention efforts. 

  • Work collaboratively with a team of DEI practitioners to pursue a strategic DEI organizational transformation program
  • Following the guidance and direction of the Vice President for DEI, manage the progress of DEI initiatives and strategic objectives; contribute to strategic DEI direction with active coordination and planning of events and projects
  • Track, trend, and report metrics that will measure the effectiveness of diversity initiatives
  • Determine methods that will strategically utilize the data to meet goals, targets, and gauge change in culture with continuous improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and change agent to coach and lead critical and sensitive conversations, trainings, and employee relations around DEI
  • Collaborate with Affiliates, Stakeholders, and appropriate levels of Leadership, as determined by the VPDEI, to build a welcoming and inclusive culture for all, including patients and families
  • Supervise the DEI Specialist/ DEI Educator & Learning Specialist position/s
  • Work collaboratively across the alliance to apply a race equity lens to policies, recruitment, retention, strategies, employee experience, culture, etc.
  • Support the DEI Department’s partnership with the DEI Steering Committee; guide and support the employee volunteer groups, such as the DEIC, DEIC Chairs and Affinity Group Chairs, to develop and implement DEI activities and events that promote an internal culture of inclusion
  • Collaborate with Education / Operational Development Department to assist in developing and delivering DEI training materials
  • Support the VPDEI’s partnership with Quality and Patient Experience to embed DEI initiatives into patient care, quality, and safety



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience with DEI with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven, progressive experience and demonstrated effectiveness, initiating and supporting Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in facilitating, leading by influence, and presenting clear and progressive works
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience creating training materials and training others
  • Experience facilitating high stakes / sensitive conversations
  • Ability to think, mediate and critically coach without personal biases

SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.

Exceptions exist only for employees whose positions are fully remote, with no required access to campus. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees requiring access to campus must provide proof of vaccination before their first day of employment.
