The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
SCCA is seeking a part-time per diem clinical acupuncturist within the Integrative Medicine department to provide direct patient care. The estimated time commitment is approximately 12 hours per week with the potential for additional hours as needed up to 19/hours per week. Given the structure of this new position and the departmental needs, the ideal candidate would have a certain amount of scheduling flexibility.
As a licensed acupuncturist, you will provide intensive symptom and side effect management as a member of a multidisciplinary care team in SCCA's outpatient clinic. This role will collaborate closely with a core team that includes the IM Medical Director, nurse practitioners, nutritionists, social workers, physical therapists, psychiatry, pain management and palliative care clinics. This role requires highly-developed clinical skills and the ability to work with a diverse oncology population. This position will report to the SCCA Acupuncture Supervisor.
