    The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.

    This position provides coverage for urgent medical issues for the general oncology population including patients receiving care in the Infusion Department. Coverage Hours are:

    • 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Monday - Friday
    • 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, & Holidays


    • Respond to urgent issues as the leader of the Rapid Response Team
    • Evaluation and treatment of general oncology and hematology patients in the Infusion Suite
    • Management of transfusion & chemotherapy reactions
    • Management of Sepsis and Infection
    • Facilitating admission of patients to the UW Medical Center
    • Communication of medical issues to the patient’s primary oncologist in a timely manner.
    • Maintenance of personal ACLS certification
    • Ordering and consenting for blood products, lab and/or imaging orders



    • Minimum 3 years of ARNP or PA-C experience in Medical Oncology required
    • Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must! Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential
    • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required
    • Washington state & DEA licensure required
    • ACLS required
    • Strong oral and written communication skills required
    • EMR experience required; prefer experience with CPOE
