    Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, this position works with contacts across the SCCA and outside organizations and is responsible for the preparation of more complex and/or non-standard journal entries and related reconciliations, technical research for GAAP or tax issues, and analysis and presentation of accounting issues to members across the organization.
    • This role involved development of tactical solutions to identified issues within the department, serving as a technical resource to other members of the department and as a liaison to those outside the department.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Prepare journal entries and related reconciliations
    • Assist with preparing financial information, including the audited financial statements, board report, and others upon request
    • Coordinate and present analysis for standing meetings with members of the accounting and financial analytics teams
    • Work with the GL Manager, Regulatory Reporting Manager and/or Controller on special projects as assigned
    • Develop tactical solutions to identified issues within the department.  Assist others within the department as needed, including training and research, and serve as a liaison to those outside of the department
    • Communicate with customers (peers, SCCA department managers, SCCA partners and affiliates, etc.) to identify and resolve accounting issues, share and gather information, and report out financial information

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent.

    Five years experience in accounting or finance required.
