  • This position is responsible for Accounts Payable voucher entry and execution of the weekly patient refund check run.
  • The Accounting Assistant II provides clear and professional customer service to internal employees and external vendors

Responsibilities

  • Simple and complex voucher entry
  • Work with outside departments to resolve issues (purchase order set up, receiving data, etc.)
  • Review new vendor set up
  • Work with AP team to determine appropriate compliance reporting (use tax)
  • Match supporting documentation for check runs

Qualifications

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at once
  • Clear and professional oral and written communication skills by email, phone and in person
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up regularly, prioritize, and independently perform multiple complicated tasks with minimal direction
  • Able to maintain and apply accounts payable best practices on policies and procedures
  • Able to identify and resolve routine and complex problems
  • Able to ensure accurate and timely AP processing
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Type 40 wpm and 10-key by touch
  • Professional behavior to include punctuality, reliability, collaboration and the ability to work well with all levels within the organization

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

  • 1 year experience in accounting or finance required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
