The Role:
As a member of the Financial Analytics team, you will play a critical role in SCCA’s success by partnering closely with the assigned business areas and providing senior management an assessment of historical and forward-looking financial performance, including analysis of business performance and trends, and communication of insights.

Responsibilities


Responsibilities

  • Prepares accurate and timely financial reports for assigned areas.
  • Deliver in-depth analysis and communicate trends and issues that impact the business.
  • Supports forecasting and budget development processes. Consolidates, reconciles, validates and obtains clarification of financial information from multiple sources to develop forecasts and budgets.
  • Recommends financial process improvements, and supports implementation of them.
  • Prepare executive presentations demonstrating a mastery of the financial details to develop thoughtful recommendations.
  • Conducts financial modeling to analyze and determine the financial impact of recommended action plans. Highlights issues, and may recommend alternative courses of action based on results of the analysis.

  • Passion for analyzing data to drive decision making.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analytic skills to formulate recommendations and resolve problems.
  • Strong analytical skills and great attention to detail.
  • Solid financial skills, including a working understanding of the income statement.
  • Ability to succinctly synthesize findings; excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and meet timelines.
  • Proficient with excel functionality such as lookups, pivot tables, and charts, and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Experience with other financial software programs such as Kaufman Hall/Axiom, Tableau, PeopleSoft a plus.
  • Experience with database tools such as SQL Server and Access a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of communication and organization tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Able to grasp and apply new concepts quickly.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, deadline oriented, and complex health care environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required, Bachelor's preferred. MBA is a plus.
  • At least 1-2 years of prior experience in finance/accounting roles.
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
