The Medical Staff Access Manager supports delivery of optimal patient care by establishing and maintaining systems that promote timely access for patients and efficient utilization of clinical space. Duties include the management of Physicians and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) clinic templates and space assignments, in addition to delivering reports on provider availability.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and management of physician and advanced practice provider (APP) clinical plans, clinical FTE implementation, monitoring and reporting
  • Liaison between MDO, Service Line Management, and Ambulatory Clinics regarding physician and APP clinical schedules and space allocations
  • Collaborate with the University of Washington and FHCRC Academic Departments & Divisions for RVU and cFTE goals and reporting
  • Manage physician and APP clinic cancellation policies, procedures, monitoring and reporting
  • Manage physician and APP template policies, procedures, including enforcement of standardized EPIC template use, monitoring and reporting
  • Actively participate on committees to achieve desired outcomes and ensure follow-up on action plans regarding patient access, template management and provider availability.
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders to evaluate, monitor and report physician and APP capacity
  • Interface with medical staff, other care providers and personnel at SCCA, UW School of Medicine and FHCRC in administrating policies and procedures, resolving problems and improving processes regarding patient access.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience of a progressive nature in a healthcare setting. 
  • Record of effective and successful cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Epic scheduling system.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical mindset with preferred experience in data visualization programs, such as Tableau.
