The Entry Level Accountant position prepares standard daily accounting transactions, in addition to journal entries and account reconciliation for routine month end work. 


  • Prepare journal entries and related reconciliations.
  • Prepare daily cash deposits and reports. Research transactions as necessary.
  • Communicate with customers (peers, SCCA department managers, SCCA Partners and affiliates, etc.) to resolve accounting issues, share and gather information.
  • Identify, research, and resolve issues with assistance within assignedwork.


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills by email, phone and in person.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow up regularly, prioritize and ability to independently perform complicated and multiple tasks with minimal direction
  • Able to identify and resolve routine problems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with the financials suite of PeopleSoft applications.
  • Previous accounting experience in a healthcare setting.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of one year experience in a business office setting. 
    • Minimum of one year experience in Accounting or Finance is preferred.  Minimum of one year experience in conducting monthly/yearly financial close processing is preferred.
