Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) brings together the leading research teams and cancer specialists of Fred Hutch, Seattle Children’s, and UW Medicine. One extraordinary group whose sole mission is the pursuit of better, longer, richer lives for our patients. SCCA's purpose is to provide state-of-the-art, patient and family centered care; support the conduct of cancer clinical research and education; enhance access to improved cancer interventions; and advance the standard of cancer care regionally and beyond.
Every individual at SCCA plays a unique role in supporting our mission. Our collective success hinges on each of us conducting ourselves in accord with a set of core values:
SCCA is seeking an Acupuncturist to serve within its new Integrative Oncology clinical program. As a licensed Acupuncturist, you will provide intensive symptom and side effect management as a member of a multidisciplinary care team in SCCA’s outpatient clinic. This role will collaborate closely with a core team that includes the Integrative Oncology Medical Director, nurse practitioners, massage therapists, yoga therapists, nutritionists, social workers, physical therapists, psychiatry, pain management and palliative care clinics, oncologists, nurses, and clinical researchers. This position will report to clinical operations within SCCA, and work in partnership with Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s Public Health Sciences and Clinical Research Divisions.
This role requires both highly-developed clinical skills and program development ingenuity as SCCA launches acupuncture services across a diverse oncology population. The Acupuncturist will also serve the Integrative Oncology program in developing and implementing research protocols in order to inform the growing evidence-base for the use of integrative therapies in oncology care. SCCA is ranked by US News & World Report as the #5 Cancer Hospital in the nation. By joining SCCA's Integrative Medicine program, the Acupunturist will help us establish new clinical models for cancer patients in a dynamic environment.
