This position is responsible for the coordination, management and facilitation of staff education and training programs and materials as directed by the Associate Director of Education in coordination with the Staff Education strategic plan.


The Education Program Coordinator provides strategic support towards achieving the overall goals for the department.


This position also includes attendance and participation in various committee meetings as they relate to the planning and development of staff education offerings.



  • Coordinates face-to-face and e-learning education programs for SCCA staff. This includes the organization and facilitation of the program planning committee, course organization, scheduling, registration, evaluation, participant tracking, and reports. 
  • Organizes course materials, correspondence and website updates; including flyers, power point presentations, and teaching tools to support staff education events.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training and education programs and implements program changes and enhancements as needed
  • Serves as the SCCA Staff Education liaison for New Employee Orientation.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the Basic Life Support( BLS) program and the Safe Patient Handling (SPH) program
  • Assists with the All Staff Mandatory training that occurs once a year.
  • Assists the LMS Administrator as needed
  • Coordinates the Education Fair that occurs once a year.
  • Provides staff customer relations coverage for the department to ensure the staff has immediate access to resources and information during regular business hours.



  • BA/BS required in a related field of study or equivalent of 2 years of experience in adult education program planning and implementation
  • Strong computer skills
  • Training and experience in coordination and implementation of educational events and understanding of adult learning concepts to provide effective education.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, multi tasking and prioritization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with multiple disciplines to provide needed/required staff education
